Training

Western Montana's Glacier Country is excited to host an Online Learning Program. New in 2024 is the Don't Add Fuel to the Fire course, a free, 30-minute course designed for Western Montana businesses and front end staff who may receive questions about wildland fire and smoke conditions. We also continued our partnership with AccelerateMT to update our robust trainings including Customer Service Essentials and Train the Trainer courses.

These courses are hosted on Learn.GlacierMT.com. These particular courses are free, and we encourage you to not only take the courses but share them with others, too. We will be adding additional programs on an ongoing basis.

Customer Service Essentials Training

The Customer Service Essentials course is for anyone looking to improve their customer service skills. This four-part course will guide you through the customer experience, and provide tools for delighting customers, managing difficult situations and becoming a Montana ambassador.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Develop an understanding of the differences between customer service and customer experiences.
  • Use constructive customer service and communication techniques to create memorable experiences.
  • Manage conflicts by understanding the underlying goals of the customer and reframe to bring about a supportive climate.
  • Be a Montana ambassador.

Train the Trainer

The Train the Trainer course is for owner-operators, managers and team leaders who train customer-facing employees. This two-part course will guide you through exercises to help you generate a vision for a great customer experience, align your internal policies with that vision, and provide tools for reinforcing that vision with your customer-facing employees.

At the end of this course, you will have:

  • Everything you need to lead an effective customer service training program for your employees.
  • Clear expectations for your customer’s experience.
  • Well-articulated policies and incentives that support delivery of that experience.
  • A complete toolkit of activities for communicating all of this with your team.

Western Montana's Glacier Country provides a marketing voice much louder than what we could do on our own. Their audience exposure and traffic are at a scale we’d be silly not to take advantage of.
